Dmitry Badin, who is called the GRU officer, is also associated with interference in the election of the US President and illegal actions using cryptocurrencies.

The German prosecutor’s office issued a warrant for the arrest of the alleged GRU officer Dmitry Badin on charges of a hacker attack on the Bundestag in 2015. Law enforcement officers also identified another suspect, but could not provide enough evidence to bring charges, reports Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

“The Prosecutor General’s Office is convinced that it can prove not only that Dmitry Badin personally participated in the hacker attack on the Bundestag, but also when and how. It is assumed that on May 7, 2015, at 13:29 Badin created the malicious program VSC.exe, and at 13:31 he used and managed it, ”the newspaper writes.
