Threats to Anonymous Cryptocurrencies
According to the head of CipherTrace, more than 2000 different cryptocurrencies will be difficult to follow the rules of all regulators, so attackers are likely to switch to anonymous cryptocurrencies, such as Dash, Monero, ZCash, and others.
The German Federal Ministry of Finance also drew attention to the difficulties of tracking anonymous cryptocurrencies. In their report, analysts primarily noted the difference between pseudo-anonymous and anonymous cryptocurrencies.
In their opinion, pseudo-anonymity allows you to analyze transactions in public blockchains and test suspicious transfers. Coins that provide their users with privacy, the same Monero (XMR) and Zcash (ZEC), make transactions untraceable and increase their attractiveness for illegal activities.
